Cat is a European Trade Mark Attorney who joined Creation IP in May 2012. Cat’s experience includes working in-house for one of the world’s largest vehicle manufacturers, where she was responsible for a diverse range of issues from new brand development, to realising the commercial potential, exploitation and enforcement of trade marks worldwide.
Annette is a Chartered and European Patent Attorney. Her specialist technical areas include oil and gas technology, mechanical devices, medical devices, automotive technology and tobacco technology. Annette’s day-to-day work includes drafting, filing and prosecution of patent and design applications, advising clients in relation to filing strategy, and portfolio management.
Douglas is a UK and European Union Trade Mark Attorney who joined Creation IP in November 2016. He has been in private practice since October 1989, before which he was an Examiner at the UK Trade Mark Registry. He assists clients in all trade mark issues from initial choice, through the examination and maintenance processes to contentious matters.
Karen joined Creation IP in 2013 with 23 years experience in the Patent profession. An expert in Patent Renewals and European Patent validations, she has adopted the role of Office Manager and has helped Creation IP grow significantly. A keen runner, she has completed 19 half marathons and 7 full marathons for our sister charity, Funding Neuro.
Gareth brings a passion for innovation and product development to Creation IP. He has co-authored a book on personality type and innovation that is used in innovation workshops throughout the world. The use of personality type allows people to understand how they innovate. Gareth uses this knowledge to improve organisations’ innovation performance.
John has gained a reputation as an acknowledged expert in software and business method patents. He has extensive experience in patent prosecution and litigation in the US and in Europe having acted for companies such as Pixar, eBay, Disney, Intel, and Ultra Electronics. John is an experienced patent attorney accustomed to dealing with a wide range of technologies from digital and mixed signal circuits for consumer electronics to railway construction, and from power switching and control to cutting-edge microlithography and optics. He is also experienced in registered and unregistered design practice. Since 2014 John has worked as a consultant to support professional firms like Creation IP.
With over 20 years’ experience of providing advice on all aspects of IP, Rosi has strong technical expertise in patents for medical devices, physics, software, electronics and telecommunications inventions and designs. She has a particular interest in enabling clients to develop IP portfolios and strategies suited to their business environment.
